County Executive Bruce Blakeman lies when he says he is addressing Nassau’s affordability challenges.

The Truth:
Blakeman supports Trump’s tariffs which have diminished Nassau residents’ savings. While attending Trump’s White House tariff announcement, Blakeman said “…we will be a stronger and better America if more jobs are held by Americans and more goods are manufactured here.” Although Trump inherited an economy that was the ‘envy of the world’, economists are bewildered by Trump’s fixation on sweeping tariffs, which have panicked global markets, raised the risk of a recession and depleted 401(k)s.
