Blakeman Can’t Fix Nassau’s Affordability Crisis Because He Doesn’t Understand It.

The Lie:

  • Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman says Nassau is the most affordable County in New York State.

Why You May Believe the Lie:

  • Blakeman repeatedly claims that Nassau is the most affordable county in New York State.

The Truth:

  • Although he’s County Executive, Blakeman doesn’t seem to know that Nassau is one of the most expensive counties in New York, and across the country.
  • Blakeman is largely insulated, he’s chauffeured in an SUV, doesn’t have to pump or pay for gas, and likely didn’t have to scale back his summer barbecues because of a 14.8% increase in beef prices.
  • Blakeman supports Trump’s tariffs even though they are one of the main drivers of inflation, making goods and services more expensive.
  • Blakeman also supports Trump’s healthcare cuts which are increasing health care costs for everyone.

Action You Can Take:

  • Share this post on your social media and email and discuss it with your friends.
